Rocky is sweetest little bird; he loves to ride on my shoulder and give kisses. Rocky is the type of bird who needs daily interaction; he loves attention and developes a tight bond with his owner. He likes to be with them as much as possible and be a part of the family. Although Rocky loves his humans he doesnt seem to care for other birds he tends to pick fights with them, but maybe with someone who has the time and knowledge to do a proper introduction he may come around to having a birdy friend. As far as other animals, that would completely depend on the other animal's behavior around Rocky. He is a bit of a daredevil and will jump off his cage onto the floor. So, he would have to be protected against predator animals such as cats and dogs because of this.

As you can see from Rocky's photos he is a plucker he has been this way since he was rescued. Rocky has been to the vet and there is nothing medically wrong with him. The vet told us it is possible Rocky will be a plucker for the rest of his life and there may even be spots where he has plucked so much the feathers may never grow back. We are working on Rocky per the suggestions of the vet, along with giving him lots of love and attention. Some of Rocky's feathers have grown back and he is not plucking as much as he use to so we have high hopes he will continue to do well.

Adopters are required to provide Rocky with an adequate cage and set up, a cage with NOT be provided by the rescue.
