This is Georgie II, he was given away by his owners, in North Carolina a nice lady took him home and worked with him then asked CARE if we could take him in and find him a good home. We are not positive that he is a male he hasnt been DNA tested, we are also not positive of his age but the previous owners said he was 4 years old at the time. As you can see from the photos Georgie II is a plucker although some of his feathers are growing back in the vet is not positive that he will ever stop plucking and he may have plucked so much that the feathers may not grow back in some areas. We are working with Georgie II by following the suggestions of the vet and by showing him lots of love and attention. Georgie II is a very sweet bird who loves to sit on shoulders of coarse he is not this way at first we had to gain his trust which didnt take long at all because he does love people. We have tried introducing Georgie II to the other quaker we have Rocky but they fight so Georgie II is a single bird right now. Adopters will be required to provide an adequate cage and set up for Georgie II, a cage is not provided with the adoption.
