Jake
Jake

Jake was brought into CARE for placement because his family could no longer keep him. Poor Jake was in need of medical attention and already heartworm positive.

Lucky for Jake, he found the perfect family who adores him and spends most of their time with him. He is very healthy now and has been treated for heartworms. He takes care of his new family, too. Every night, he tucks the children into bed one by one before going to bed himself.

Gypsy
Gypsy

"Back in 2005, I adopted the beagle/treeing walker coonhound puppy named Gypsy. I promptly renamed her Saluda, but she also answers to Stinker, Stinkface, and Stinkerella. As she grew from puppyhood to adulthood, it became pretty obvious that she didn’t have an ounce of walker hound in her. She’s definitely got some beagle in her, but she’s basset hound all the way. She is so long! She has short little legs, and her bark is all basset. She is spoiled as all get-out and enjoys sleeping in my waterbed with me every night. We go on walks every morning first thing. She is so good on a leash, but she has to stop and smell everything. Must be a hound thing. She is so much fun, and we have a blast together. She is my baby, and I would simply be lost without her."

Tobin
Tobin

Tobin was picked up by Animal Control in pretty bad shape. He was emaciated and covered in scabs. His body was damaged, but his spirit was unblemished. With some TLC, his body began to recover. Then, he was adopted by a couple with a young son and another Doberman for him to play with. There, Tobin's body has continued to recover, and his spirit continues to soar! He is now healthy and sleeping on a couch instead of the dirt, like a Dobie should!

Sweet Pea
Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea was adopted by a wonderful woman who renamed her Magnolia. She was previously a breeder and was pregnant most of her life. She is now able to live her life for herself as a retired breeder! She loves her mommy and all the special attention she gets!

Miles
Miles

Miles and his brother Lewis were adopted together before we could post them! They are an interesting mix of Italian Greyhound and Chinese Crested. Who wouldn't love those faces?
