Meet Hoover. This poor guy was found wondering the rural country roads of Shinnston, WV with a chain around his neck. Due to his size, age and breed he was marked for euthanasia immediately at the WV Animal Control. The Humane Society of Harrison County was kind enough to get his picture and description on the internet. Our organization decided we just could not sit by and let this poor boy get euthanized. He has had a rough life already and deserves to know what living good is all about.

He loves walks and prefers the same path every day. He also loves to swim and play. He would do best in a home with no other animals. Some of them he likes and some of them he doesn't. What a funny boy! Other than that, he is very happy-go-lucky and loves people. He has a beautiful coat of long black hair and black spots on his tongue. He is about 7 years old and about 60 lbs. He is especially good with children.

Hoover is Heartworm positive. He is being treated with a monthly liquid medication to rid him of the heartworms. Vet references, home check, adoption application, and fee are required. Won't you give this big, sweet, beautiful boy a furever home?
