This incredibly sweet senior kitty was found on the side of the road, emaciated, dehydrated, and unable to stand or walk. Jemo was in such a poor state, several vets weighed in on his case, including a neurologist. It's possible Jemo was hit by a car and/or his symptoms could have been from starvation & dehydration. Afterall, he was outside and declawed!
Jemo was microchipped. His family said they had given him to another family, but that family never returned the vet's calls so we don't know how he ended up in the ditch. Regarldess of how Jemo ended up like this, the vets decided the best course for Jemo was to cover all the bases. Jemo was treated with several antibiotics and a steroid. He showed steady improvement right away.
Once he was in a better state, Jemo was dewormed, vaccinated and given an "all clear" for adoption by his vets. The vets believe he has limited vision and his motor skills may never be back to 100%. Jemo gets around really well now!
Jemo is so handsome! He has been such a sweet boy. He LOVES pets and his food. We don't know how Jemo is with dogs, cats or kids, but we feel sure he could do well if introduced to them properly.
