Hi, my name is Zeus and it's a PLEASURE to meet you. I love meeting new people, especially when they rub me behind the ears. Saturday adoption days are my favorite, coming to the pet store and getting to meet lots and lots of nice people. In fact, I'd love to meet you in person. Come and see me at our next adoption event. Zeus is a big LOVER boy who came to us from death row in a SC kill shelter. He is a little overweight and has a few more pounds to lose to stay healthy (i.e., heavier dogs are more prone to hip, heart, and other health problems, just as in people). He is so well behaved; his foster Mom can lead him all over the yard by just his collar. He sits, downs and fetches a ball. Zeus is great with children and loves to cuddle with them. He is NOT good with cats. His favorite toy is a $2.49 squeaky ball. He fetches it, throws it and lays on it. Oh, he barks at it too when it just lays there and he wants to play. How can you resist those big brown eyes?

Note: Zeus must be fed separately from other dogs and children (a crate works great for this). Once his bowl is set down you can't stick your hand down to pick it back up while he is eating. He will snap at you. Any problems with this can easily be avoided through training or simply do not pick the bowl up while he is eating and don't feed him with other dogs. Pretty simple fix to get an awesome companion.
