Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog.
Brownie and Shep were dumped in Fairfield County around April 5th, 2004. When found, these poor babies were doing all they could to survive and running from everyone. After a week of trapping, I finally got them! I believe they were happy it was all over, but worried if I would hurt them. It's amazing what they were surviving on! After a week receiving tons of good food, fluids, baths, deworming, loving and vaccines they are good to go to a new home together.
Shep is also about 6 months old, ~ 25 lbs, and has black/tan silky fur. He is very shy, but sweet and curious. He will come out of his shell with time and love. He will probably be medium - large in size (~50 lbs.). His foster parents are constantly working on him and his sister. They strongly believe they must go together since they are so bonded. We will update their sizes when available from their foster parents. It is hard to guess at this point because they were so badly malnourished, but within another month we should have a better idea. They are already on monthly heartworm prevention. If given the chance, they will make someone beautiful, devoted, loving companions for life.
