DISTINGUISHING TRAITS...

Brodie is one sweet boy! We believe Brodie is part australian shepherd and part border collie but he doesn't have the high herding obssessiveness that you'd normally see with either of these breeds. He's really a laid back herding dog. Like most rescue dogs, Brodie takes a bit to warm up to new people but once he's your friend, he's definitely your friend and will follow you everywhere. Brodie gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home. Brodie isn't at all aggressive with the cat in his foster home but he wants to play with her and doesn't realize he outweighs her by 35 pounds. He would do best in a home with a dog savvy cat or no cat. Brodie is crate trained and loves his crate. Sometimes he just goes in and takes a nap on his own. :)

Brodie knows how to sit up like a circus dog - LOL! He also knows regular sit, down and stay and has an amazing recall. When Brodie wags his tail, his whole body wags and he is happy a LOT!

HOME/FAMILY LOOKING FOR...

Brodie loves being a part of the family and wouldn't do well alone in the back yard. His ideal adopter is a forever family who would include Brodie in their lives. He wants to do whatever his family is doing.

If you think Brodie could be The One for you, contact us today. This write-up describes his IDEAL home, but please contact us if you are interested, even if that doesn't describe you. It is impossible to fully describe a pet in a brief write-up, so a conversation is best!

A completed adoption application and home visit are required for approval to adopt a CARE dog. We do adopt out of state if all vetting is complete. The most accurate and complete information about available dogs can be found on our official website at www.caretoadopt.org.
