>> Midnight is highly intelligent, loving, eager to be with family, playful, and energetic. Midnight knows several commands and loves to play. He also loves to chill and snuggle on the couch & bed. He does have a bite history (provoked), so it's very important he goes to a home who understands him, sets him up for success in life and protects him.

Midnight has been a regular at our local boarding facility since he was a puppy. We agreed to take him when his family asked to surrender him to avoid neighbor's threats to harm him (if found running loose again). He quickly accepts new staff - male, female, young & older. This boy loves to learn and excels at it. He would probably do very well with dog sports.

We know Midnight will do well in the right home & deserves that. Many of us wish we had room for just one more as we all love him. To help Midnight with the stress of long-term boarding, especially during the busy holidays, we keep him on fluoxetine once daily (cheap, but we are able to keep him supplied if needed, probably only needed during an adjustment to a new home). We are here to support Midnight & an adopter in any way needed. He needs a family and home that provides love and security.

PAST: Midnight was adopted from a local shelter as a puppy. He grew up with young kids, an adult female, and a female puppy, but is not good with cats. He was allowed to run loose for play and potty breaks in his previous home. One day, Midnight wandered over to a neighbor's yard where they were having an outdoor event. We were told Midnight was trying to get people to chase him when a neighbor maced him 7 times. Inevitably, he nipped the neighbor.

While we continue to work with Midnight, we are posting him in hopes another skilled person will step up for him. We want to be sure this person and Midnight are set up for success.
